As some of you may know, I play on an EA Games website called Pogo. After watching the third and final presidential debate (FINALLY!!! CAN I VOTE ALREADY?!?!) I wandered into a game room to kill some time. When I arrived I saw a few members were having a heated discussion regarding the candidates and various issues. “Cool”, I thought, “people are actually getting involved!”. But all was not well. I sat idly by and watched three fact-deprived people attempt to discuss the price of gas and the war in Iraq. At one point, someone mentioned that Obama had “messed up” by befriending Louis Farrakkan. They then went on to say that the ideal ticket would be Obama/Palin. It was truly mind boggling. I think it was right then that I felt a small amount of brain matter trickle out of my ear.

It’s one thing to have an informed discussion, but its another when those who don’t bother to do their research start spewing silly accusations and blantant lies. I am all for debating – its rather exhilarating. But please people, DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Get out of the cyber fantasy and back in reality – please.
